I SEE Iran… and its People
My eyes and my heart and my soul are focused on Iran and its peoples… ALL throughout the world! I SEE the celebrations and the joy and the tears and the dancing and hugging… and just FREEDOM that is being expressed. The weight that has been shed and simply the lightness in people’s being… it is bringing me SO MUCH JOY this week in an otherwise VERY DIFFICULT TIME for me. Without any equivocation or doubts, I 100% support this war and the fulfillment of all dedicated goals and targets.
Of course I feel sadness and despair at the lives, both innocent and participants, that have already been lost and those that will be lost in the coming days, months, however long… I am NOT heartless. But I AM observant… and I SEE the Iranians, in the homeland of my own country and throughout the world… and I KNOW this is a good thing. Yes, BAD things will happen… this is an inevitability… but I will ALWAYS support FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY and the RIGHT OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL to pursue the life they most desire within the laws of a given society… and this is what I see. I see JOY and HOPE and HAPPINESS and a FOCUS TOWARD THE FUTURE that is contagious.
I see YOU, Iran. I am sorry for what you are experiencing currently… and I desperately hope this part ends quickly… but I have also seen pictures of your country before the revolution in 1979… they are SO BEAUTIFUL and MAGICAL and a country that is THRIVING! My wish is those days return… a thousandfold! As an American, I can only say I hope people stay safe and there are better days ahead… FOR ALL!
