Winning Is NOT Everything…
Recently I have been having a “conversation” (emails back and forth) with my Dad… and we are on opposite ends of a political discourse. What I have noticed about myself is that I have been trying to “win” this conversation. I mean… it is REALLY IMPORTANT to me to “win.” If I am honest, I don’t even know what “winning” would look like in such a situation… but in some ways I have handled myself less than admirably in this conversation.
I just want to mention this. If we are going to get through ”this”… ALL of THIS… human connection (I mean REAL CONNECTION), human decency (towards ALL), and compassion (EVEN IF we disagree) is vital! ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL.Trying to “win” a conversation has only left me alone, isolated, frustrated, and not the human I need to be in this world. Let’s ALL take a look inside… where are we at? Are we CONNECTING to make this world a better place or are we trying to “win“ so we can stand alone, isolated, and somewhat desperate at the top? Winning is DEFINITELY NOT everything…
