Choose Your Pursuits…
Today… I am just “off.” Some days are like that. I feel like I need to be “off” today… and I am going with it. But I also would like to state I am good with my “offness” because I know I am pursuing things in this life that bring me peace, joy, calm, happiness, and love. “Making stuff” is one such activity… This is the beginning of “Spheres.” Let’s see where it goes… I hope you pursue some peace, joy, calm, happiness, and love this weekend as well. Take good care and do good things.
I look forward to the finished product! I’m interested to see how your view of “Spheres of Influence” translates into a visual medium. At first glance I thought the spheres were just overlapping, not interconnected as I would have expected…but then I took a closer look! I like how the interconnectedness is demonstrated very subtly in those first two decorated circles so far!
When you and Rowan spoke about this recently on the podcast, I imagined each circle or “sphere” completely formed inside the next, progressively growing outward. It is so interesting how brains perceive ideas differently!
Circles are my favorite shape. I think they perfectly portray the peace, joy, calm, happiness, and love that you mention. Thank you for yet another inspirational post!
Betsy, this one is NOT the “Sphere of Influence” one that was mentioned on the podcast. This is a “warm-up” effort and I just wanted to use up this canvas… This one will basically be me just transferring (hopefully successfully) a doodle I am doing in ink. I am not quite sure yet what I am going to do for “podcast Sphere painting”… That one is not even a concept yet. I am hoping this one might allow for some ideas and things I might want to try. I think you and I are imagining the same thing though for that painting though… circles within circles within circles…
