Who am I?/Take off your mask

This week I wrote a post about a young woman who I believe “hides” important aspects of herself. I went off on this young lady only to realize I know no one in this world who hides more of themselves than me. I hide behind the words I write. I hide behind messy hair and hoodies and occasional beards. I hide myself from mirrors and pictures and intimate relationships. I hide myself from life more than I wish.

I am still going to publish the post I wrote this week, because I believe it to be worthy. But before I publish that post, I thought I would do my own work. This is who writes these words. This is me. Still hidden… but less so.
