PHEW! What… A… Week! I realize I post something similar to this every few months but I think it is a good reminder. OUR KIDS NEED US!!! I gave more hugs to kids who were crying in my office this week than I have given all school year AND last school year COMBINED! I am pretty sure the kids I am dealing with are VERY SIMILAR to the kids you get to deal with… and I can GUARANTEE you they NEED YOU! Please just check on them.

I KNOW they will say, “I am fine.” But they aren’t (many of them)! Ask them again… and just wait. Ask, “What’s really going on?” “What can I do for you?” What do you need?” “What are you worried about?” “Do you know that I love you?” ”Do you realize you make my world better?“ “Do you realize I would miss you if you were gone?”

Maybe you believe that last question is too severe. Maybe it is… but I said those same words to three different students this week… please just check on your kids! They need you and want you more than you will ever know!
