On Being Brave/Authentic/and a Dreamer…

This past week has been tough. Life has happened and I find myself in a pretty deep hole… at the moment! That’s the thing though… about life… we are ALWAYS going to find ourselves in holes and valleys and at the top of mountains… only to fall back down… and that is the way it is supposed to be. Life is tough. So many of us want life to be “easy”, whatever that means. It is NOT easy! It is NEVER going to be easy, at least not for long! It is never meant to be easy!

There is a saying that goes something like this, “Life does not get any easier. It is ourselves that are getting stronger.” Maybe not the exact words, but close enough. This past week, I had some moments to realize just how strong I have become. I also realized how much stronger I COULD become and NEED to become to realize the dreams I have for myself and those around me. Yes, I am brave. I am authentic. But I can be MUCH, MUCH more brave! MUCH, MUCH more authentic and fierce in the pursuit of the dreams I have for myself. This is what I want. This is what I deserve. This is what I choose…

“…fierce in the pursuit of dreams…”
    Beautifully said.

The idea/feeling of being in fierce pursuit is maybe what enables us to feel alive, brave, and capable along the way, even before a dream or goal is captured.
    I’m cheering you on! 😊

Thank you, Betsy. I am definitely NOT feeling too fierce today… but am working on it! I hope things are going well for you. Take good care.

What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger right?

In the face of fear and uncertainty there is an increasing willingness to take risks in the pursuit of our dreams.

To be brave enough to speak our dreams into existence is the first step to achieving them.

I love the phrase upon accomplishment of said fear, “But did you die?”

You have embarked on a brave new journey that is going to ask so much of you Hylan but all of your experiences have prepared you for living authentically on the journey ahead.

I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you on your many new platforms.

Hello, Karie! Thank you so much for reading these posts. I don’t actually think people are going to read these posts and it is always a surprise when I get a comment. It makes a really big difference. I appreciate these words so much and I agree with all you wrote. If it doesn’t kill me, you can darn well believe I am coming back stronger and more willing to pursue my dreams with much more ferocity. I also think I am ready and we will see what actually happens. Again, thank you so much and I look forward to reconnecting more.
