Look for Some Positivity…
I have spent a large portion of my time this past week sending POSITIVE MESSAGES home (outside of the school environment) to many of my students and their parents/caregivers. I was feeling hurt by the world these past few weeks and I just needed a break… SOMETHING positive.
I can not even BEGIN to capture in words how HELPFUL this was to me! Just simply writing the messages and sending them completely changed my mindset and worldview. But then… when I actually started receiving responses from parents who had NEVER received ANY POSITIVE MESSAGE from their child’s school… and having conversations with students who ACTUALLY FELT PROUD (for maybe the first time EVER) of themselves because their parents were proud of them… I can not even begin to capture how that made/makes me feel. Totally overwhelmed by good vibes… even just thinking of some of the interactions!
Please look for some positive in this world! In the people… the places… the news… anywhere and everywhere. It IS there! I promise! And it will change your world…
