”Gifts and Giving”
In this season of “gifts and giving”, I am being “given” one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. My heart is being torn apart in the best way possible! Today is my “last day” with the students whom I have been working with these past four months. I don’t know “how“ to say goodbye! They don’t know how to say goodbye! They are being the sweetest kids ever and there are tears as I am writing these words… I WILL leave them… but I DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE… and my heart will shatter a bit during this Christmas break… and I can think of no greater “gift” I could ever receive! During this season, I hope you also receive something that “breaks your heart (just a little) because there is so much love…” Take good care. Be kind. And do good things.
Your students are lucky to have created a relationship with someone who cares about them so much. I know you also get so much back from your relationship with them. 🙂
I received many expensive and lavish gifts from my students this holiday season, but the most joy comes from the comments and hugs and looks on their faces when they can make others happy.
I’m receiving a wonderful gift these holidays…I’m looking forward to time spent with a friend. Relationships are so much more meaningful than material things.

Yea! Exactly, Betsy! The greatest joys we are going to experience as humans is “giving” something to another… and I am not exactly sure we are doing a good job in teaching this lesson to the youngsters in this world… but when it DOES happen, and you see the joy and pureness, it is MAGICAL… without a doubt!
